Disciplinary Reports MOST IMPORTANT TO ALL REFEREES Please note the procedure required following ANY PERSON (player and/or replacement and/or touch judge) being dismissed from the playing enclosure: 1. Note the time into the match (e.g. 22nd minute of 2nd half); the score at that time; brief note to remind yourself what had occurred and ensure that the captain(s) of the side(s) are aware that the player(s) concerned have been ordered from the playing enclosure. Please ensure you use the correct sending off form. 2. At the end of the game confirm from the captain(s) the name of the player(s) and position(s) in which they were playing. 3. DO NOT ENTER INTO A DISCUSSION WITH ANYONE AS TO THE CAUSE OF THE SENDING(S) OFF. Remind the Club that they will receive a copy of your report in due course.
4.
DISCIPLINARY REPORTS (Download
HERE) (Please Note: Essex Clubs are now outside of Eastern Counties, therefore discipline reports should be sent to discipline@essexrugby.com) 5. Send copy of each report to your own Referee’s Society and retain a copy for yourself. 6. Immediate action is essential. 7. MAKE YOURSELF AVAILABLE TO ATTEND THE HEARING WHEN REQUIRED (Especially in cases of referee abuse). 8. Do not opt out of your responsibility by quoting ‘I will not be sending a report because…’. A person sent off requires a report to be completed immediately irrespective of the level of the game or the fact that the player(s) could be Schoolboys or Juniors. 9. Ensure report(s) are clear, concise and factual. |
