CUP-TIED PLAYERS - You are
reminded of the requirements relating to Cup-tied players as detailed in
Regulation 5 (Powergen Intermediate Cup) or Regulation 6 (Powergen Junior Vase).
Please also note the
following:
- You are required to
identify all Front Row players in your squad by marking "FR" after each players
name on the Match Result Card.
- Clubs failing to fulfil a
fixture in this season's competition will be disqualified from entering any
Powergen RFU Knockout Cup competitions in Season 2005/06.
- Player Eligibility - Teams
must only select players who are Effectively Registered to their club as shown
on the official RFU Player Registration computer listing.
- Foreign Players - Please
note that this season the limitation on the number of Foreign Players you may
select has been removed. Clubs may select any number of Foreign Players,
providing they meet all other Player Eligibility criteria.
- Replacements - Clubs may
select no more than 4 replacements or substitutes. See Regulation 10
(Intermediate Cup) or Regulation 11 (Junior Vase).
The RFU has determined that,
for all Powergen knockout cup matches, teams participating in these Competitions
are required to have front row cover for all front row positions.
For the avoidance of doubt,
teams must have cover for all 3 front row positions on the first and second
occasion for all Powergen Intermediate Cup and Junior Vase matches.
Drawn Matches - See
Regulation 8 (Intermediate Cup) or Regulation 9 (Junior Vase). Extra time should
be considered when setting a kick-off time and possibly made earlier in case of
bad light.
The draw for Round 3 will
take place on 19 October at Twickenham. The draw will be available on the RFU
website (http://www.rfu.com) from 19 October.
Do not telephone Operations for information on the draw until 20 October.
